Yak yarn
Fine lace weight 100% yak
50 gram skeins - 492 yards-450 meters

Lovely soft chocolate brown - a little
lighter then this picture and not shiny
A note of caution. A customer commented that the yarn is very soft
and she found it broke a couple times while she was knitting.| It is a very
softly spun yarn and as such needs to be handled gently. I just finished
knitting with it and did not have any breakage but I can see where it would be
easy to do. See below for picture of the shoulder shawl we made with one skein
of yak. We used a 3.75mm needle to knit this shawl.

we made some slight changes to the pattern to accommodate the Yak yarn. We
changed the
needle size to a smaller needle 3.75mm /US5 . We just got it out of the 50 gram
skein with less then 5 grams left.
If you are nervous about having enough yarn you could easily take a row or
two out of the stockinette stitch rows
without effecting the size or shape significantly. Have fun.
