This is an un spun wool with a very tiny nylon wrap.
It is a natural off white colour. Because the yarn is wrapped
tightly it feel a bit firm. I have found that washing it
definitely soften the yarn a lot but even just the
handling of the yarn when you are knitting will soften it.
It has a nice handle when it is washed or knitted.

The grey has a little more yardage than the natural-

I dyed some of the lighter weight wrapped wool
and discovered that not only did
it take a dye nicely but the yarn fulled (puffed up
when washed) In the bottom picture you can
see the difference in size between the dyed and the
undyed yarn. I would expect the bulky
weight wrapped wool to take a dye the same
and for the yarn to "full".
If you would like to wash the yarn to
increase its size prior to knitting or dying
please be aware that it may reduce the yardage
If you are not going to wash or dye it prior to
knitting I would suggest you knit it loosely so
that it has room to open nicely when washed.
