Some linens are very stiff but this one is on the softer side. I have not had time to knit up a sample but I think this yarn would lend it self very nicely to a simple lace pattern, the one row pattern by Sue McFadden  which is free with the yarn. I tried it out for a half dozen rows and it works out very nicely.  I knit it on a 4mm needle and that gave a nice open look, but you could knit it on  larger or smaller needles.
