Grand River Yarns
Newsletter
Issue #52 July 2008

Hi

Last weekend my friend and I spent it dying yarn. As usual we are really excited by all the wonderful colourways you get with hand dying and we hope that you will like them as well. We have some new colourways in some of the yarn we already had and in one case are introducing a new yarn to our collection.
At this time we have 5 pages of colourways to chose from in our rayon viscose yarn called Iris.

We have our new yarn Tencel which we are calling Tiara. Tiara is a yarn that looks a lot like rayon viscose and is made from trees as rayon is but has an additional component in the manufacturing of the yarn that makes it stronger than rayon when wet. It has a slight shiny look to it which makes it look like a silk.

We also have a very fine lace weight yarn that is wool blended with angora that we are calling Touch of Angora.

We had great success with the yarn called Island2  in a apricot shade at the Spring show and we have added a blue colourway with a bit of green which is very pretty. Island2 is a bit thicker yarn then Iris, Tiara and Touch of Angora.

The Clever Cat has added new colours to her line of Alpaca kits and Merino/silk kits so you can checked them out as well.
We still have a good selection of colours in the Lace Sensation yarn and kits.

Happy Knitting
